Development Intern

SUMMARY
NextGen America is currently seeking a full time development intern to work in our San Francisco office for Fall 2018. The development intern should be interested in learning how C4 and PAC status organizations develop, cultivate, and solicit political contributions. The candidate will support the larger team with developing strategic, donor-centric communications and supporting the planning and implementation of events. The Development Intern will report directly to the Development Assistant but will work closely with the entire development staff where needed.
Recent college graduates with issue advocacy and data management experience are particularly encouraged to apply. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, up to 35 hours/week.
HOW YOU WILL BENEFIT
  • Paid: Interns will receive a stipend to support living expenses.
  • Location: Interns will work out of the NGC headquarters in San Francisco's Financial District.
  • Training and Development: Interns will work with leaders with years of experience in development for the climate movement and national and state politics.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Varied research and data management background

COMPENSATION:
Interns are independent contractors to NextGen America and NextGen America offers a stipend which is commensurate with the number of hours committed to the Internship Program.
